Utwór "Le Api" Antonio Pasculli'ego na obój i fortepian został po raz pierwszy wydany w 1905 roku i dedykowany Konserwatorium Muzycznemu w Palermo. "Le Api" jest bardzo podobny do "Lotu trzmiela" Nikolaja Rimskiego-Korsakowa, jednak utwór Pasculliego został napisany wcześniej. Pierwsze publiczne wykonanie "Le Api" miało miejsce 14 lipca 1874 roku w Konserwatorium Muzycznym w Milan. The study Le Api for oboe and piano was first published in 1905 and was dedicated to the "Conservatorio di Musica di Palermo". Some similitarity to Rimskij-Korsakov's Flight of the bumble-bee may be apparent, as both composers give a sound picture of insects; however, Pasculli wrote his piece before Rimskij-Korsakow. From a postscript to the third study we learn that the three characteristic studies were first performed in the big hall of the "Conservatorio di musica" in Milan on July 14, 1874. The long legato ties can only be played with "circular breathing technique", however, even without this breathing technique the study can be played in sections and this way is a most valuable technical exercise. Vinko Globokar (ur. 1934) to awangardowy kompozytor i puzonista słowiańskiego pochodzenia. Jego kompozycje przyrównuje się do stylistyki dzieł Salvatore Sciarrino oraz Helmuta Lachenmanna. Muzyka Globokara jest spontaniczna, pełna energii, niekiedy improwizowana, jest pełna niekonwencjonalnych technik instrumentalnych i kompozytorskich. Widoczne są w niej wpływy jazzu oraz "free improvisation". Prezentowana publikacja zawiera utwór "Atemstudie" Globokara na obój. Kompozycja ta powstała w 1971 roku. Wykonywana powinna być jako kontinuum, bez żadnych przerw (wskazany jest wykonawca posiadający oddech permanentny). Kompozytor wskazuje również, by podczas wykonania "Atemstudie" obój został amplifikowany, a wykonawca powinien mieć mikrofon zarówno przy instrumencie, jak i przy gardle (by wzmocnić m. in. fragmenty utworu, w których wykonawca ma jednocześnie grać i śpiewać). This study is to be played from begining to end without any interruption whatever, a continuous emission of sound being the result. While playing, breath should be inhalted through the nose. Denotes that breath is to be inhalted at the same time as the note is sung so as to avoid any break in continuity. The 12 phrases are to be played 2 minutes after the beginning. The order in which theyu are played as well as their duration is left to the player. There is to be no break between the phrases. Schubert jako jeden z pierwszych kompozytorów nadał ogromne znaczenie partii fortepianu. Prezentowana publikacja zawiera trzy cykle pieśni w opracowaniu na głos wokalny (mezzosopran) i fortepian Franza Schuberta - "Die schöne Mullerin" op. 25 ("Piękna młynarka"), "Winterreise" op. 89 ("Podróż zimowa") oraz wydany po śmierci kompozytora zbiór "Schwanengesang" ("Łabędzi śpiew"). Daniel Croner (1656 - 1740) was a composer of Saxon descent active in Transylvania. He was born in Brashov and spent most of his life in the town as a Church dignitary and musician. He dies at Höltövény (Heldsdorf) near Brashov. During his years of study he compiled two tabulature volumes which are preserved in the Brashov city library and constitute a highly signification document of 17th century organ - piano music. The first one was written in Pozsony (Preßburg, Bratislavia) in 1681, in German tabulature notation. Besides works of some contemporary German composers (G. Froberger, B. Meyer and J. Ulich) it comprises mainly Croner's own compositions. The second volume was prepared in 1682 in Wittenberg, in similar notation. It contains altogether fourteen works unambiguously written for the clavichord or a cembalo - type instrument, in contrast to the first volume which contains organ music.
