Brin It On

Franz Schubert to jeden z najsłynniejszych kompozytorów pieśni w romantyzmie. Napisał on ponad sześćset kompozycji wokalnych. Jego muzyczną inspiracją była przede wszystkim poezja. Schubert jako jeden z pierwszych kompozytorów romantycznych zaczął nadawać znaczenie partii akompaniującego fortepianu. Publikacja "Liederbuch" zawiera sześćdziesiąt pieśni na głos wokalny i fortepian Franza Schuberta. Jest to wybór pieśni z różnych cykli. Wśród utworów odnaleźć można m. in. pieśń "Schwanengesang" (z wydanego pośmiertnie cyklu o tym samym tytule) oraz pieśń "Winterlied" (z cyklu "Podróż zimowa").

Hugo Wolf (1860 - 1903) to austriacki kompozytor, znany przede wszystkim jako autor ponad 300 pieśni. Jego kompozycje wokalne charakteryzują się romantyczną stylistyka oraz budową przekomponowaną (treść i forma muzyki jest ściśle podporządkowana tekstowi słownemu). Przy tym, partia fortepianu jest niemal zawsze równorzędna z głosem wokalnym. Niniejsza publikacja - "Lieder nach verschiedenen Dichtern" zawiera trzynaście pieśni Wolfa napisanych do słów różnych poetów: Eduarda Mörike, Scheffela, Goethego, Kernara, Heinego, Szekspira, Byrona oraz Reinicka. Poszczególne pieśni przeznaczone są na różne rodzaje głosów wokalnych oraz fortepian. Posiadają oryginalny tekst słowny w języku niemieckim oraz angielskie tłumaczenie Johna Bernhoffa.
