Phillip Keveren, a multi-talented keyboard artist and composer, has composed original works in a variety of genres from piano solo to symphonic orchestra. Mr. Keveren gives frequent concerts and workshops for teachers and their students in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Mr. Keveren holds a B.M. in composition from California State University Northridge and a M.M. in composition from the University of Southern California.

Hugo Wolf (1860 - 1903) to austriacki kompozytor, znany przede wszystkim jako autor ponad 300 pieśni. Jego kompozycje wokalne charakteryzują się budową przekomponowaną, a więc tym, że muzyka (jej treść i forma) jest ściśle podporządkowana tekstowi słownemu. Przy tym, partia fortepianu jest niemal zawsze równorzędna z głosem wokalnym. Zbiór "Italienisches Liederbuch" zawiera piętnaście pieśni Wolfa. Skomponowane one zostały do słów niemieckiego pisarza, laureata Nagrody Nobla - Paula Heysego. Publikacja zawiera oryginalny tekst słowny w języku niemieckim oraz jego angielskie tłumaczenie dokonane przez Lily Henkel.

"Travels" to cykl trzech utworów - podróży skomponowanych przez Davida Amrama. Utwór I - "Taos" to tradycyjna piosenka romantyczna pochodząca z Pueblo Taos w północnym Nowym Meksyku. Utwór II - Andante - Blues napisany jest w formie tematu z wariacjami. Trąbka posługuje się tu techniką twelve bar. Utwór III - Taxim - to kompozycja w formie ronda. W kadencję wpleciona jest melodia "Aya Zehn", której kompozytor nauczył się w Kairze podczas podróży koncertowej w 1978 roku.
Całość David Amram zadedykował swojej żonie Lorze Lee i synkowi Adamowi na pierwsze urodziny. Premiera "Travels" miała miejsce w szkole muzycznej w Julliard 26 marca 1985 roku.

Toccata primarily means a touch piece, usually associated with rapid touch of the keys. The framework of this toccata is from the 16th century, and is in the standard 5-part form, but slightly modified. The opening is the Toccata up to the Melodic part (harpsichord and recorder), followed by an Episode of quickly changing scenes, then back to the Melodic section, and ending with the Toccata. Hence, the 5-part form: TMEMT. The toccata form was used many times as a fanfare, as it is here for FRESH AIRE III.
