This Concerto was written in the autumn of 1782 at Vienna and first published by Artaria & Co. in 1785. Concerning this work and two others composed at about the same time (K. 413, 415), Mozart wrote to his father on December 28, 1782: "These concertos are a happy medium between what is too easy and too difficult; they are very brilliant, pleasing to the ear, and natural, without being vapid. There are passages here and there from which connoisseurs alone can derive satisfaction, but these passages are written in such a way that the less learned cannot fail to be pleased, although without knowing why".
All the cadenzas in the present edition are by Mozart.

"Koncert Es-dur" na fortepian i orkiestrę Mozart skomponował w 1777 roku. Jest to ostatnie i najbardziej dojrzałe dzieło, jakie skomponował on podczas swojego pobytu w Salzburgu. W kompozycji tej ukazuje się już w pełni wykształcony, indywidualny styl Mozarta. Prezentowana publikacja jest opracowaniem "Koncertu Es-dur" na dwa fortepiany. Zostało ono oparte wyłącznie o materiały źródłowe (urtext) znajdujące się obecnie w Bibliotece Jagiellońskiej w Krakowie. Partia solisty (Fortepian I) została wydana w możliwie najbliższym oryginałowi zapisie nutowym, z kolei w partii orkiestry zaaranżowanej na fortepian (Fortepian II) zachowano wszelkie źródłowe oznaczenia dynamiczne i artykulacyjne.

Koncert fortepianowy F-dur (KV459) Mozart włączył do swojego katalogu dzieł 11 grudnia 1784 roku. Niniejsze wydanie tego utworu, w opracowaniu na dwa fortepiany, zostało oparte wyłącznie o materiały źródłowe pochodzące z Staatbibliothek Preußischer Kulturbesitz w Berlinie. Partia solisty (Fortepian I) została wydana w możliwie najbliższym oryginałowi zapisie nutowym, z kolei w partii orkiestry zaaranżowanej na fortepian (Fortepian II) zachowano wszelkie źródłowe oznaczenia dynamiczne i artykulacyjne.

Koncert fortepianowy D-dur (KV 537) Mozart ukończył 24 lutego 1788 roku. Po raz pierwszy wykonany on został przez kompozytora 15 października 1790 roku, podczas uroczystości koronacyjnych we Frankfurcie. Mimo, iż Mozart zagrał wtedy również swój koncert F-dur (KV 459), jedynie Koncertowi D-dur nadano tytuł - "Koronacyjny". Mozart wielokrotnie wykonywał ten utwór podczas swoich podróży m. in. w Dreźnie, Lipsku oraz Berlinie. Niniejsza publikacja zawiera opracowanie na dwa fortepiany (wyciąg fortepianowy z partii orkiestry). Wydanie to zostało oparte o oryginalny rękopis Mozarta znajdujący się w Pierpont Morgan Library w Nowym Jorku.

Niniejsza publikacja zawiera pierwszą część (Vivace) z "Sonaty A-dur" na flet poprzeczny i klawesyn BWV 1032 Jana Sebastiana Bacha. Została ona wydana w oparciu o partyturę znajdującą się w Staatsbibliothek Preussischer Kulturbesitz w Berlinie. Zamieszczony w tym manuskrypcie pełny tytuł Sonaty brzmi: "Sonata a 1 Traversa e Cembalo obligato di J. S. Bach".
