Noted mandolinist and teacher Rich Del Grosso has authored this excellent mandolin method that features great playable tunes in several styles (bluegrass, country, folk, blues) in standard music notation and tablature. The audio features play-along duets.

Najpierw należy ćwiczyć partię prawej ręki a potem lewą ręką, a następnie obydwoma. Ćwiczenia należy zaczynać w wolnym tempie i przyspieszać dopiero gdy palce nabiorą swobody.

This arrangements in this book are intended to give additional, recreational work to those in the early stages of studying the guitar. Only easy keys are used, there are few accidentals, the rhythms are simple, and the left hand does not move away from the nut position: the harmonic language is traditional and such chords as are used are easy to play - they will be familiar to anyone who has worked through the customary, elementary pieces by Carcassi, Aguado and the like. For the most part, the music is in only two parts - the melody and a supproting bass.

The theme be sounded with simplicity, without insisting on the shading and strictly in time. The 1st variation keeps the same characteras the theme; it has in addition a final phrase of expresive character. The 2nd variation, in the most pianistic character, must be played with great clearness, observing the indicated shading. It is recommended not to exceed the metronome speed indicated. The 3rd variation must be played in the shading pp, with a beautiful sonoristy. The melody at the left hand must be clearly heard without exaggeration. The soft pedal must be held during the whole variation that must be played without expression. The 4th variation of a burlesque character in the style of certain Spanish dances. Great emphasis in the shading and stress. The 5th variation, of a romantic character, must be played with great expression, charm and strength at certain moments. It the 6th variation and the following Dance, keep the Movement and shading as indicated without overdoing the rubato. And always keep in mind that rhythm is the most important feature of Spanish Music.

Utwór "Resisting Stillness" na dwie gitary Biscardi skomponował w 1996 roku. Kompozycja ta utrzymana jest w harmonii współczesnej. Charakteryzuje się zmiennością tempa i metrum, licznymi flażoletami oraz bogactwem artykulacji.

The basic organization of Creative Music III is the same as for Creative Music II, with sightreading materials on the left hand pages (even numbers) and creative activities on the right hand pages (odd numbers). Students may continue their creative reading by changing notes, intervals and patterns. As an example, look at page 2, #1 and try these suggestions:
a) Change the interval between left and right hands from a 6th apart to a 10th apart by beginning the left hand of F and the right hand on A.
b) Change the first pattern from prarlell to contrary motion.
c) Invert the pattern by beginning on A in the left hand and C in the right.
