Written In Red

This unique publication contains 52 favorite Beatles songs arranged exclusively for the guitar. It is designed to provide an accurate look into the lead and rhythm guitar styles of George Harrison and John Lennon. Instead of providing transcriptions of the guitars off the record, these arrangements use the musical elements of the bass, drums, keyboards and guitars all incorporated into one guitar so that they can be played alone or in a band. Written in tablature, this book also provides numbers, strums, accents and picking patterns for those who do not read music.

"After Watermark was released - I was inundated with request to talk about the lyrics. One part of me felt that the lyrics should speak for themselves and that to 'explain' them would be like naming the colours of a painting while forgetting to look at the picture. Another part of me wanted to acknowledge the genuine interest people were showing and so I replied, haphazardly it seemed, to those who would have asked. Here, with Shephered Moons, I have, in response, provided some background to the songs in the hope that the understanding of the songs may have some uniformity. This, of course, will go part of the way to explain them, for it is also my hope that everyone who listens to them may hold their own interpretation. I have written about them by searching for the genesis of the songs in diaries and notebooks I have kept and so the background has, as a result, the flavour of a personal journal. It is, in way, my Book of Days..."

The charming "Intermezzo" was written as a Christmas gift for Gilbert Biberian's family; fingering has been kept to a helpful minimum in order to simply indicate the composer's musical intensions. Priest was a dancing master who was closely connected with the professional stage, arranging dances for several operas of the time.

"Things Passed" składa się z trzech części, z których pierwsza wykorzystuje przede wszystkim zjawiska natury sonorystycznej, druga skupia się na rytmie i harmonii, zaś trzecia podsumowuje i jednoczy poprzednie.

Tarzan to postać literacka, która została wymyślona przez Edgara Rice'a Burroughsa. W 1999 roku Walt Disney wyprodukował film animowany nagrodzony Oscarem za najlepszą piosenkę autorstwa Phila Collinsa. Premiera filmu odbyła się 18 czerwca 1998 roku.
