Giuseppe Concone (1810 - 1861) to włoski organista i pedagog śpiewu. Jego zdaniem w nauce śpiewu niezwykle istotne są pierwsze lekcje. Publikacja "50 Leçons" op. 9 Concone zawiera pięćdziesiąt prostych ćwiczeń wokalnych dla głosu średniego z towarzyszeniem fortepianu. Mają być one wykonywane solmizacją. Celem ćwiczeń jest m. in. nauka poprawnego intonowania dźwięków oraz prawidłowego oddychania podczas śpiewania. Ćwiczenia te są zróżnicowane pod względem tonacji i tempa. Niektóre (np. Andante sostenuto B-dur nr 31) zostały ujęte w formie tematu z wariacjami. Kompozytor dołączył do nich również liczne wskazówki wykonawcze. Giuseppe Concone (born at Turin in 1810, died there in 1861) was organist to the Royal Chapel at Turin, after having resided in Paris till 1848, where he enjoyed a high reputation as a teacher of singing. Giuseppe Concone: "As a general rule our modern Vocalises have a tendency towards perfecting an already advanced musical education, rather than to impart the first lessons which constitute the elementary basis of the vocal art. To this end I have composed 50 lessons for voice lying in the middle compass of the human voice. Their simplicity and breath of style present the double advantage of fixing the voice and of cultivating the tase of the student by habituating him to phrase well and to take his breath correctly". "Solo per il Corno in F" to utwór Carla Gottlieba Reissigera (1798 - 1859) - dyrygenta i kompozytora niemieckiego. Artysta ten był uczniem Antonio Salieriego. Znany jest szczególnie z tego, że dyrygował premierą opery "Rienzi" Ryszarda Wagnera. Reissiger jest autorem kilku oper oraz wielu dzieł religijnych (m. in. trzynastu mszy oraz jednego oratorium). Jego "Solo per il Corno in F" posiada wewnętrzny podział na dwie części - cz. I - moderato, cz. II - Maggiore, Piu mosso. W oryginale Reissiger skomponował je na róg w stroju F z orkiestrą. Niniejsze wydanie zawiera wyciąg fortepianowy z partii orkiestry. Carl Gottlieb Reissiger (1798 - 1859) composed this "Solo per il Corno" at a time when players were required to place a great deal of trust and confidence in the primitive and frequently troublesome mechanism designed to actuate the newly invented valves in order to render it as a salon or as a concert piece in the meanwhile established public "Quartett-Akademien", an institution set up among the emancipated middle classes.The initial performances of this solo in F minor for Horn and Orchastra were directed by Ressiger himself. Using traditional folklore in written music enables the composer to pay tribute to the musical cultures that have enriched our lives.
