Max Reger (1873 - 1916) to niemiecki kompozytor i organista, autor licznych dzieł organowych, symfonicznych i kameralnych (m. in. pieśni). Reger's seven Choral Fantasies belong to the most significant and best known of his organ compositions. He composed them during the years from 1898 - 1900. Historically considered they represent a combination of the baroque choral partita with the late romantic through-composed piano song. The former experienced its golden age during the 17th and 18th centuries. It consisted on a series of several variations on the same choral melody in different techniques of composition, with a at best the basic affection taken into account, but without following up th content of different verses of the song. The particularity of this form lies in the mere sequence of numerous comparatively short movements linked only by the common cantus firmus. Lista utworów: |
