Jego twórczość skupia się głównie na pieśniach i utworach fortepianowych, w których wprowadza wiele nowatorstwa. Muzyka Schumanna charakteryzuje się frazami prowadzonymi w sposób nerwowy, kapryśny i niezwykle czuły na wszelkie zmiany wyrazowe. On 12 June 1849, after the suppression of the May uprising in Saxony, Robert Schumann returned to Dresden from the nearby Kreischa. Schumann had followed the stirring events from Kreischa with inner excitement and conveyed many of his thoroughts to his composer's pen. It was, however, the direct view of the wounded city, the traces of the desperate struggle for democratic freedoms that the Frankfurt constitutions of the previous year was supposed to guarantee, and the precise information about Richard Wagner's and Gottfried Sember's active participation that transported Schumann into a "Marschfeur", in which the first two marches were composed and then decisively revised in Dresden. Schumann dated the period of composition from 12 - 16 June 1849 on the title page of the first edition. Lista utworów: |
