Pierwsza część szkoły nauki gry na gitarze akustycznej lub elektrycznej. Autorzy - Blake Neely i Jeff Schroedl - krok po kroku wprowadzają w zagadnienia niezbędne do rozpoczęcia gry na instrumencie, m. in. ukazują budowę dwóch rodzajów gitar, tłumaczą notacje muzyczne, budowę akordów, skale muzyczne. Tematy poparte są krótkimi utworami pozwalającymi wykorzystać teorię w praktyce.

Jest to zbiór dziesięciu krótkich miniatur (Preludium, Kołysanka, Ballada, Uciekaj!, Bossa, 7-8-9, Impresja, Marsz, W dawnym stylu, Ślizg) o umiarkowanym stopniu trudności. Kompozytorem utworów jest gitarzysta, co w pełni umożliwiło mu wykorzystanie walorów brzmieniowych i technicznych gitary. Efektownie brzmiące utwory, o nieco współczesnej i jazzującej harmonii, to ciekawa propozycja dla średnio zaawansowanych gitarzystów. Utwory z powodzeniem mogą być wykorzystywane zarówno jako repertuar dydaktyczny, jak i koncertowy. Kompozycje z tego zbioru często są umieszczane w programie obowiązkowym konkursów gitarowych.

From among the musicians of young generation, Marek Pasieczny is one of the most characteristic concert guitarists and guitar composers. He was born 14 February 1980 in Zamość. He started learning the guitar at the age 10. In the years 2000-2005 he studied in The Karol Lipiński University of Music in Wrocław, in the guitar class of professor Piotr Zaleski, from which he graduated in 2005 with distinction. Than he Proceded to study in The Royal Scottish Academy of Music in Glasgow, in the guitar class of Allan Neave.
Two Stories, Aquarius and Cool Night Lights are three independent compositions, which may as well performed as a whole. They were composed in the years 1997-2003 and inspired by the works of jazz guitarist Pat Metheny.

Trzy częściowa szkoła gry na gitarze Williama Leavitta, zebrana została w jednej publikacji. Jest ona wykorzystywana do nauki gry na gitarze w prestiżowym Berklee College of Musik. Część pierwsza zajmuje się harmonią, melodyką, akompaniamentem a także podstawowymi technikami (np. arpeggio). W części drugiej wprowadzone zostają zagadnienia interwałów, przewrotów akordów, improwizacji, gitary rytmicznej i gry w duecie. Część trzecia pogłębia wiedzę zdobytą wcześniej.

Jan Nepomucen Bobrowicz was born on 1805 in Crawo, Poland, to the family of the Polish gentry. He belong to the most extaordinary guitar players of his time, along with three Polish virtuosos, namely Feliks Horecki, Marek Sokolowski ans Stanislaw Szczepnowski. Still as a child Bobrowicz started guitar lessons under his father's guideance. Later on he studied at Mauro Giuliani's in Vienna. In 1822 Bobrowicz was admitted to the Cracow Music Society. He participated in numerous concerts played by the artists visiting Cracowa and performer as a soloist achieving fame as an outstanding performer. Jan Nepomucen Bobrowicz was not only guitar player and virtuoso but a composer, as well. He issued about 70 compositions, of which have been preserved. These are variations, marches, waltzes, polonaises, transcriptions of Chopin piece of music.
This is the very first Polish edition.
