Editorial interpolations of dynamics and articulation are shown within square brackets; additional slurs are marked with a vertical line; some fingring has been revised; the French titles have been translated; and slower metronome marks are suggested at the end of each pieces as alternatives to Burgmüller's somewhat excessive speeds.

The Heritage Collection has been my most popular series of music in my career. It has been six years since the release of a new volume. This is the fourth in the collection. When I started this project, I looked at the previous volumes where I had already recorded almost 50 hymns. My fist thoughts were, "Oh my goodness, what haven't I already done?" To my surprise, there were so many traditional hymns that I consider "favorites" that I hadn't recorded.
This music is what I played in my hands on my lap every Sunday when I was a kid. I am eternally grateful to have the opportunity to express it, and to share it with you.
