Beautiful selections from this first opera commissioned especially for television, 'Amahl' has become a beloved Christmas offering since its premiere in 1951. The simple tale of a plucky crippled boy's encounter with the Magi is told in 'Don't cry, Mother dear,' 'March of the Kings,' 'Have you seen a Child?' and more. Includes sketches and a synopsis of the story.

Nie jest łatwo dzieciom słynnych muzyków, gdyż najczęściej przez długie lata muszą egzystować w cieniu swoich rodziców. Tak też jest w przypadku The Melody Makers - formacji tworzonej przez potomstwo króla muzyki reaggae, Boba Marleya. Mimo kilku wspaniałych płyt i wielu sukcesów komercyjnych, przez ponad 15 lat egzystowali w cieniu legendy ojca.Liderem tej grupy jest Ziggy, a właściwie David Marley. Urodził się w roku 1968. Był najstarszym dzieckiem Boba i Rity. Zainteresowanie muzyką przejawiał od dzieciństwa, a swoje przybrane imię zawdzięcza słynnemu hitowi Davida Bowiego, "Ziggy Stardust". W wieku 10 lat, wraz z siostrami Cedelią i Sharon oraz bratem Stephenem, wziął udział w nagraniu piosenki ojca "Children Playing In The Streets", co jest uznawane za początek kapeli The Melody Makers. Następny ich wspólny występ odbył się na pogrzebie Boba Marleya w 1981 roku. Cztery lata później światło dzienne ujrzała debiutancka płyta The Melody Makers "Play The Game Right", która przynosiła porcję muzyki reggae mocno inspirowanej dokonaniami Króla. Album nie zyskał jednak planowanego sukcesu komercyjnego.Popularność formacja zyskała dopiero za sprawą wydanego w 1988 roku krążka "Conscious Party". Dzieło, którego produkcją zajęli się Chris Franz i Tina Weymouth z grupy Talking Heads, oraz pochodzący z niego singlowy hit "Tomorrow People" przez długi czas nie opuszczały szczytów list przebojów. Jeszcze większy sukces odniósł wydany rok później longplay "One Bright Day", prezentujący już nowe oblicze zespołu. Twórczość The Melody Makers ewoluowała w kierunku muzyki pop, co wywołało niechęć reggae'owych purystów. Z drugiej strony, kapela kontynuowała przesłanie miłości i pokoju, charakterystyczne dla dokonań Boba Marleya. Publikacja zawiera 18 największych przebojów grupy, m.in. Look Who's Dancing, Brothers And Sisters i One Bright Day. Kompozycje zostały zaaranżowane na wokal z towarzyszeniem fortepianu, gitary lub keyboardu. Dodatkową atrakcją wydania są dołączone zdjęcia zespołu i gra planszowa.
