Hommaeg a Aleksander Tansman powstał w 2006 roku i została dedykowany polskiej gitarzystce - Annie Pietrzak. Jest to jeden z pierwszych utworów Marka Pasiecznego, w którym nie pojawiają się, wszechobecne dotychczas w jego twórczości, inspiracje jazzem i muzyką filmową. Tytuł kompozycji zdradza nowe fascynacje kompozytora - tym razem jest to muzyka polska i spuścizna jednego z najsłynniejszych kompozytorów polskich XX wieku - Aleksandra Tansmana. Mimo, że w utworze odnaleźć można echa stylu twórcy Cavatiny oraz liczne nawiązania do polskiej muzyki ludowej (stylizacje polskich tańców ludowych w drugiej i trzeciej części suity, a także wykorzystanie motywów tradycyjnej piosenki "Cichy zapada zmrok" w części czwartej), to motywy te wykorzystane zostały z charakterystycznym dla Pasiecznego polotem i swobodą wnosząc nową jakość do współczesnego repertuaru gitarowego. Jak w każdym swoim utworze kompozytor - gitarzysta w pełni wykorzystał możliwości techniczne oraz walory harmoniczne i kolorystyczne instrumentu. Hommaeg a Aleksander Tansman jest utworem o średnim stopniu trudności. Hommaeg a Aleksander Tansman, written in 2006, is dedicated to a Polish guitarist Anna Pietrzak. It is one of Marek Pasieczny's first compositions from jazz and film scoring influences, so prevalent in his works to date, are absent. Its title, Hommaeg a Aleksander Tansman, reveals author's new interests - and this time it is Polish music and the legacy of Aleksander Tansman, one of the most famous composers of the 20th century, that he turns his attention to. The composition in some places echoes Cavatina's author's style and contains references to Polish folk music (stylizations of Polish folk dances in the second and third movement of the suite as well as the use of the motifs taken from Quietly the Night Falls (Cichy zapada zmrok), a traditional song, in the fourth movement). However, Pasieczny cites these motifs with his unique panache and ease, bringing a breath of fresh air into contemporary guitar repertoire. As in the case of his every work, the guitarist / composer fully utilizes technical capabilities, harmony and textures of the instrument.
