Druga część nowatorskiej szkoły gry na fortepianie Johna Thompsona. Kolejne zagadnienia wprowadzają w nowe techniki gry, rozwijają wiedzę ogólnomuzyczną, a jednocześnie poszerzają repertuar o utwory największych kompozytorów takich jak Franz Liszt, Joseph Haydn czy Ludwig van Beethoven. Przed każdym zapisem nutowym zawarto notę dotyczącą techniki wykonawczej i krótkie ćwiczenia wprowadzające w problematykę danego utworu.

Feliks Horecki (1796 - 1870) był wybitnym polskim kompozytorem, uczniem Giulianiego, wirtuozem gitary i pedagogiem. Pozostawił pokaźny dorobek kompozytorski o charakterze koncertowym (fantazje, wariacje, serenady, polonezy), dydaktycznym (etiudy, gamy, skale, kadencje) oraz rozrywkowym (divertimenta,amusemens). Ogółem napisał około 150 kompozycji.
