Iron Maiden to heavymetalowy zespół z Londynu, założony pod koniec 1975 roku. Liderem grupy jest basista Steve Harris (urodzony 12 marca 1956 r. w Londynie). Nazwa zespołu dosłownie oznacza "żelazną dziewicę" - średniowieczne narzędzie tortur. Ich dwie pierwsze płyty Iron Maiden i Killers nie przyniosły dużego sukcesu finansowego, kiedy natomiast zespół opuścił Paul Di'Anno, którego zastąpił Bruce Dickinson, jego popularność wzrosła (poczynając od płyty The Number of the Beast).

W tym czasie najpopularniejszym zespołem byli Beatlesi, to właśnie pod wpływem ich twórczości Ozzi zadecydował, że zostanie muzykiem (...).
