KORN to amerykański zespół muzyczny preferujący styl numetalowy. Grupa powstała w 1993 roku i działa do dzisiaj. Do obecnych członków Korn należą: Jonathan "Hiv" Davis (śpiew, perkusja, dudy), James "Munky" Shaffer (gitara), Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu (gitara basowa) i David Silveria (perkusja). Prezentowana publikacja zawiera notację tradycyjną i tabulaturę wraz z linią melodyczną. Przed każdym zapisem nutowym zamieszczono krótki wstęp dotyczący utwory, techniki wykonawczej i jego oryginalnego charakteru. Ponadto do książki została dołączona płyta CD z pełnymi wersjami demonstracyjnymi poszczególnych utworów. It seemed to many that the only bands carrying the torch for guitarists in early nineties popular music were the indie bands. The Rap-Rock revolution changed all of this in the late nineties: Korn were very much at the forefront, combining sledge hammer guitar riffs with the atmospheric urban rhythms of rap and dance music. This volume contains six Korn originals in a songbook with a backing CD for you to play along with. All songs are fully notated and tabbed with top lines, lyrics and chord symbols. There is also a breakdown and analysis of each solo, containing essential hints and tips for mastering them. On top of this are biographical notes on the artist and a Korn discography. The CD has full demonstration and backing tracks, it too has a slowed down accompaniment for the solo sections (the solos are also demonstrated in full) to faciliatate easier practising. George Crumb (ur. 1929) to amerykański kompozytor awangardowej muzyki współczesnej. W jego twórczości dominują poszukiwania niekonwencjonalnej kolorystyki, oraz nowych technik kompozytorskich. Utwór "An Idyll for the Misbegotten" inspirowany jest tematem utworu "Syrinx" Claude Debussy'ego oraz słowami wiersza chińskiego poety Ssu-K'ung Shu: "Księżyc zachodzi. Ptaki drżą ze strachu i trawa usycha". Utwór ma obrazować trudną sytuację dotyczącą przemiany gatunku homo sapiens nie szanującego żywej natury, która wskutek tego obumiera. Dzieło skomponowane jest na flet poprzeczny oraz trzy perkusje. "I feel that "misbegotten" well describes the fateful and melancholy predicament of the species homo sapiens at the present moment in time. Mankind has become ever more "illegitimate" in the natural world of the plants and animals. The ancient sense of brotherhood with all life-forms (so poignantly expressed in the poetry of St. Francis of Assisi) has gradually and relentlessly eroded, and consequently we find ourselves monarchs of a dying world.
