No prior knowledge or musical training is necessary, for this book teaches the beginning guitarist to select, hold and tune the guitar. Then the book illustrates easy chords and simple strums to create accompaniments for folk songs, spirituals, blues and other traditional favorites. The student will also learn the use of the flat pick, thumb and brush strokes and many of the basic major, minor and 7th chords commonly used.
