Pierwszy zeszyt prezentowanej serii publikacji - "Die Soloflöte" gromadzi w sobie wybrane utwory różnych kompozytorów okresu baroku. Wśród kompozycji można odnaleźć utwory takich kompozytorów, jak m. in.: Jean Daniel Braun, Georg Philipp Telemann, Johann Sebastian Bach, Johann Joachim Quanz oraz Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. W większości są to typowo barokowe kompozycje o stałej motoryce, jak np. "Fantasia in C" Quanza, czy "Partita in a" Jana Sebastiana Bacha.

In many instrances the inclusion of High C# and evn C in daily execises is more harmful than profitable on account of the strain on the lips; and many teachers object to the abuse of these high notes. But as they are more and more frequently found in modern compositions I have decided to write all these exercises up to C and C#, providing an optional cut each time. The conventional cut sings ( ) will be found in each exercise.
