"The Magic Flute Dances" to koncert na flet poprzeczny i orkiestrę. Prezentowane wydanie zawiera opracowanie "The Magic Flute Dances" na flet i fortepian (wyciąg fortepianowy orkiestry w opracowaniu kompozytora). Jonathan Dove is one of the most versatile and prolific composers of his generation - his music spans the worlds of opera, theatre, fil, church and the concert hall. His first full-length opera, "Flight", was premiered by Glyndebourne Touring Opera in 1998 and performed as a part of the main Glyndebourne Festival Opera season in 1999. Acknowleded as a highly accomplished composer of theatre music, Dove has written for the Royal National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Almeida Theatre, London. Dove's lively, celebrator style has often been sought for special occasions including commissions to mark the Purcell Tercentenary, the Mozart Bicentenary and the official UK Millenium celebrations. Johann Joachim Quantz (1697 - 1773) to niemiecki flecista, pedagog i kompozytor. I - Allegro (zakończone kadencją), cz. II - Adagietto oraz cz. III - Allegretto. Johann Joachim Quanz (1697 - 1773) was extremely productive composer who particulary contrubuted to the fund of the flute music. Besides the numerous works of chamber music with flute and some double concertos, 189 solo concertos of him have been handed down. About 120 of them were composed in Dresden, - Quanz was a member of the royal court musicians till 1741 -, but all the others appeard in Potsdam during his activity as a flute teacher and composer of chamber music at court of Frederick II. The concerto for flute, basson (ad lib.), strings and basso continuo G-dur, here presented as the first edition, appeard in 1769 as one of the few flute concertos which are supplemented by a second solo instrument in the slow movement. Andante in C major for flute and orchestra K. 315 (285e), has survived as an isolated movement. Today however, scholars generally feel that it should be viewed in context of his G-major Flute Concerto, K. 313, being conceived as an alternative to the middle movement, Adagio ma non troppo.
