The Earth Prelude

These arrangements are intended to increase the limited repertory available to the English Horn player. They are appropriate for performance and study at all levels, and cover a wide span, both in technical difficulty and in chronology - Henry Purcel to Erik Satie. Also included are English Horn solos from the orchestral repertory, which are not beyond the capability of beginning players. Three Baroque sonata transcriptions employ ornamentation of the period. I have tried in so far as possible to adhere to the original keys and composers' markings. I wish to express.

Bach, Couperin, Handel, Pachelbel, Purcell, Telemann and Vivaldi. The music includes the most famous Baroque pieces: The Four Seasons, Canon in D, selections from Messiah, Air on the G String, Sheep May Safely Graze. Very satisfying easy to intermediate piano pieces will give musicians years of pleasure. Printed on high-quality, ivory-colored paper, with long-lasting sewn binding. 224 pages.

Flor Peeters to współczesny kompozytor, organista i pedagog pochodzący z Belgii, żyjący w latach 1903 - 1986. Zyskał sławę głównie dzięki swoim kompozycjom organowym. Zbiór preludiów chorałowych na rok liturgiczny powstał głównie na zapotrzebowanie kompozytora, który przez długi okres czasu piastował stanowisko organisty. Ponad 200 preludiów chorałowych zawartych w 24 tomach, to największa praca oparta na chorałach, która została kiedykolwiek wydana.

Siódmy zeszyt 24-tomowej serii "Hymn Preludes for the Liturgical Year" autorstwa Flora Peetersa (1903 - 1986) - znakomitego organisty i kompozytora. Zbiór zawiera 11 preludiów organowych nawiązujących do pieśni kościelnych i podzielonych tematycznie na "Matins and Lauds", "Sext and None" i "Vespers and Compline". Pod każdym tytułem znajduje się zapis opracowanej pieśni, a także wskazówki rejestracyjne utworów.
