This collection includes 6 sonatinas and 18 sonatas for the piano from Clementi, who was among the world's first piano virtuosos. He was one of several classical era composers who helped create the piano sonata.

Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 r. - 1827 r.), kompozytor niemiecki, uważany za jednego z największych kompozytorów wszech czasów. Ostatni, po Haydnie i Mozarcie, z tzw. trójki klasyków wiedeńskich. Swoją IX symfonią wkroczył w epokę romantyzmu stając się jej prekursorem. Publikacja zawiera zbiór 18 utworów fortepianowych. Utwory zostały dobrane z mysłą o początkujących adeptach pianistyki.
