Jan Koetsier urodził się w 1911 roku w Amsterdamie. Studia na wydziale kompozycji ukończył w Berlinie, natomiast studia dyrygentury - w Amsterdamie. Od 1950 roku grał w Orkiestrze Symfonicznej Bawarskiego Radia. Obecnie Koetsier zajmuje się przede wszystkim komponowaniem utworów w głównej mierze na instrumenty dęte. Niniejsza publikacja zawiera dzieło "Konzertante Musik" skomponowane w 1979 roku. Utwór posiada 4 następujące części: I - Sonata, II - Intermezzo, III - Scherzo, IV - Fuga e Corale.
