Claude Debussy (1862 - 1918) to jeden z najsłynniejszych francuskich kompozytorów. Suita na fortepian została skomponowana przez niego w latach 1894 - 1901 i jest jego jedną z najważniejszych kompozycji fortepianowych. Dzieło składa się z trzech jednolitych stylistycznie i fakturalnie części: I - Preludium, II - Sarabandy, III - Toccaty. Wydanie zawiera oznaczenia palcowania, oraz uwagi wykonawcze w języku francuskim. "Pour le Piano", composed at the end of the 19th century, and published by Froment in 1901, is Debussy's first major poano work. The composer, not yet 40 years ols, wad also writing "Pelleas and Melisande" at the time. The three parts of this suite - Prelude, Sarabande, and Toccata - are reminiscent of the classic sonata form. The Prelude opens with four stirring and rhythmic measures, leading into the superb pedal note on "A" which sets the tone and supports the gently resonant theme in an irresistible upward movement. Vivid, yet always eloquent chords echo the initial phrase. A cadence of scales vibrating around "B" surprises and dazzles us before the calmly triumphant conclusion. Lista utworów: |

Claude Debussy (1862 - 1918) to jeden z najsłynniejszych francuskich kompozytorów. Jego muzyka fortepianowa charakteryzuje się m. in. bogatą fakturą, oryginalną kolorystyką, oraz znacznym wpływem muzyki ludowej i orientalnej (stosuje m. in. skale perską, pentatoniczną oraz całotonową). Suitę fortepianową "Pour le piano" Debussy skomponował w latach 1894 - 1901. Składa się ona z trzech jednolitych stylistycznie i fakturalnie części: "Preludium", "Sarabandy" oraz "Toccaty". "Pour le piano" wa published by Fromont in Paris in 1901 and reprinted susequently from the same plates. In the present edition, phrasing, interpretation marks, dynamic indications etc., have been rendered consistent. The essential differences between the original edition, the later French editions identical with O. E., and this edition are those below. Utwory fortepianowe Aleksandra Skriabina (1872 - 1915) wymagają od wykonawcy zarówno ogromnej wrażliwości, jak i niezwykłych zdolności technicznych. Kompozytor początkowo pozostawał pod silnym wpływem twórczości fortepianowej Fryderyka Chopina. Odzwierciedleniem tej fascynacji są m. in. preludia z op. 13 oraz op. 16. Niniejsza publikacja oprócz tych kompozycji zawiera również szereg miniatur pochodzących z późniejszej twórczości Skriabina (po. 1900 roku) m. in. "Poeme languide" z op. 52, czy "Poeme-Nocturne" z op. 61. Ukazują one w pełni nowatorstwo warsztatu kompozytorskiego artysty (oryginalna nowoczesna harmonia, ciekawa faktura, efekty polirytmiczne). Alexander Nicholaievich Scriabin, the son of diplomatist and lady pianist, was born on the 6th of January 1872 in Moscow. Scriabin belongs doubtlessy to the most ingenious and fascinating phenomena in music at the beginning of our century. His works for the piano require from player the highest degree of sensibility, as well as unusual technical and musical virtues. Above all, he has to be in situation to come up to the mark of the rhytmic, soun-sensititve and pedal artistic requierements. Scriabin's pieces for piano contained in the present 3rd volume give a good isight into the development of his style. They begin with Preludes Op. 13 and 16, which show Chopin's influence at the same time as his own personal imprint, continue with the magnificently virtuose Waltz Op. 38, and conclude with the later Preludes and Poems Op. 59, 61, 63, 67, 69 and 71. Camille Saint-Saëns (1835 - 1921) to pianista - wirtuoz, organista, dyrygent, pedagog oraz kompozytor, który obok Césara Francka uważany jest za najsłynniejszego z kompozytorów francuskich tworzących po Berliozie. Prezentowana publikacja zawiera wybrane kompozycje fortepianowe Saint-Saëns'a. Pośród utworów odnaleźć można m. in.: sześć bagatel op. 3 (podzielonych na dwie suity po trzy części), "Allegro appassionato", czteroczęściową "Suitę" (złożoną z preludium i fugi oraz tańców - menueta, gawota i gigue) oraz "Album pour Piano" (cykl sześciu utworów m. in. preludium, toccata i walc). Camille Saint-Saëns (1835 - 1921), together with Césare Franck, is one of the composers who renewed French music in the second half of the 19th century. At the time that Saint-Saëns wrote his earliest works, Berlioz was the only representative of genuine greatness in French symphonic music. Apart from the abundant flow of operatic production, the overwhelming influence of Beethoven and the even mightier influence of Wagner which followed upon it had crippled the original creative powers of many French composers. W gruncie rzeczy, "Zaczarowany ogród" jest "Ogrodem duszy" kompozytora. Premiera dzieła miała miejsce na Festiwalu Fortepianowym w Natchitoches w Louisianie w 1992. Średni czas trwania: 22'. This set of preludes for solo piano was inspired by my dream life - the juxtaposition of and contrast between my subconscious dreams and conscious reality. In a sense, this work is "a garden of the mind". The Enchanted Garden was sommissioned by The louisiana School for its annual piano festival in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
