Gabriel Fauré (1845 - 1924) to organista i kompozytor francuski, uczeń m. in. Kamila Saint - Saënsa. Razem z Cezarem Franckiem reprezentuje on narodową muzykę francuską. Gabriel Fauré (1845 - 1924) was born in Pamiers in the south of France. At the age of nine he was sent to Paris, where he entered the school of church music in Louis Niedermeyer.
