Pat Metheny - ur. 12 sierpnia 1954 w Kansas City, Missouri, amerykański gitarzysta jazzowy. Już od najmłodszych lat interesował się muzyką, a jego pierwszym instrumentem była waltornia. W wieku kilkunastu lat zainteresował się gitarą. Studiował na Uniwersytecie w Miami oraz w Berklee College of Music w Bostonie, gdzie wykładowca - wibrafonista Gary Burton - zaproponował mu współpracę.
