Wolfgang Amadeusz Mozart - (ur. 27 stycznia 1756 r. w Salzburgu - zm. 5 grudnia 1791 w Wiedniu) - kompozytor austriacki. Obok Haydna i Beethovena jeden z tzw. trójki klasyków wiedeńskich. Mozart urodził się w Salzburgu, ówczesnej stolicy małego, niezależnego arcybiskupstwa Świętego Cesarstwa Rzymskiego Narodu Niemieckiego. Został ochrzczony jako Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart po dziadku ze strony matki i patronie daty urodzenia, Janie Chryzostomie. Przez większość życia Mozart posługiwał się wersją "Amadé" swojego imienia. Przedtem stosował też włoską odmianę "Amadeo", a w dzieciństwie niemiecką "Gottlieb" (...).
