All pieces of the WINTER MULTIPLEY collection can by performed separatly or simultaneously in all possible permutations. All six miniatures of each cycle are to be performed in free order.
It is recommended that the performers maintain a continuity of narration while controlling the time intervals between particular miniatures as well as between particular events. Instrumental parts overlap asynchronously, depending on the choise of the performers, the lenght of breaks and the tempo.The performers begin to play independently from one another wherver they wish. The interpretation of one performer may influence the interpretation of another. Such musical communication could result in, for example: dialoguing, complementing, continuing, contrast, or unity. Each performer should choosehis own order in which to play the miniatures without prior consultation with others. By naturally responding to given musical situations, their mutual music-making on the stage should bring forth accidental, always new results.
When performed as a chamber music version, it is desirable- given the proper acoustic conditions- for some performers to be spatially located away from the stage. In chamber versions all the performed elements of a given collection constitute the title: for example, tha simultaneous performance, NORTH-WEST (from the WINTER MULTIPLAY collection).
An accidental always applies only to the directly following.
Duration in chamber versions: at least 10 minutes. Contents: 12 pages.
