Zbiór francuskich arii operowych z XIX wieku napisanych na głos wokalny - mezzosopran z towarzyszeniem fortepianu. Arie ułożone są chronologicznie według dat narodzin kompozytorów. Na początku publikacji znajduje się tłumaczenie słów francuskich na język angielski i niemiecki, a także krótka informacja na temat każdego z utworów. W publikacji znajdziemy arie z takich oper, jak między innymi: "Carmen", "Romeo i Julia" czy "Don Carlos".

As with the melodies printed in ''The Art of French Song'', the arias in ''French Operatic Arias for Mezzo-Soprano'' have been arranged chronologically according to the dates of their composers' births. Inevitably this means that the printed order does not necessarily reflect the sequence in wchich the operas in questionn were premiered. I make no apology for this, since, altough in a fairly narrowly confined field such as French opera influences between composers were of course at work.
