Zbiór opracowań chorałów osiemnastowiecznego niemieckiego kompozytora i organisty - Johanna Ludwiga Krebsa. Krebs uważany był za ulubionego ucznia Jana Sebastiana Bacha. Już sam tytuł kompozycji - "Klavierübung" odzwierciedla ogromny wpływ jaki wywarł na Krebsie właśnie Bach (autor wielu zbiorów zatytułowanych w ten sposób). Wpływ mistrza ujawnia się również w doborze chorałów protestanckich - wiele z tych wybranych przez Krebsa opracowywał również Bach (m. in. "Christ lag in Todesbanden", "Erbarm dich mein, o Herre Gott"). Johann Ludwig Krebs is reputed to have been Bach's most distinguished pupil at the Thomas School between 1726 and 1735. The title of the work - "Klavierübung" and the structure of its choral settings clearly reflect the influence of his great master, at the same time his melodic idiom shows a strong leaning towards a more rational interpretation of baroque style and cannot quite throw off the influences of a new epoch. Johann Ludwig Krebs (1713 - 1780) był muzykiem i kompozytorem okresu baroku. Komponował głównie utwory organowe. ''Orgelwerke'' to dwutomowy cykl zawierający różne utwory organowe. Prezentowany tom drugi zawiera w szczególności cenione kompozycje Krebsa - Preludia i Fugi. Preludium i fuga D-dur, a-moll i C-dur to wybitne kompozycje, każde w innym stylu. Oprócz tego zeszyt zawiera słynną fugę B-dur Krebsa na temat: B-A-C-H. It is for that reasont that the main part of this volume is devoted to three large-scale preludes and fugues in D major, A Minor and C Minor not published by Zöllner, the D Major work appearing for the first time in print. In order to convey some impression of Krebs' heritage of lesser works - preludes, fantasias and fugues- three additional compositions have been incorporated in this edition, each differing from the other in form and style. Johann Ludwig Krebs (1713 - 1780) był muzykiem i kompozytorem okresu baroku, oraz ulubionym uczniem Jana Sebastiana Bacha. Osiągał niespotykaną ówcześnie biegłość pod względem techniki gry. Komponował głównie utwory organowe. ''Orgelwerke'' to dwutomowy cykl zawierający różne utwory organowe. Niniejsza część pierwsza zawiera Toccaty, Preludia i Fugi organowe, m. in. Preludium i Fuga Fis-dur, oraz Toccata i Fuga E-dur. From the circle around J. S. Bach, Krebs, his favourite pupil, attained sufficient eminence as composer of works for the organ to justify the publication of the best of his larger organ compositions in a new edition. Johann Ludwig Krebs, born 10th October, 1713 in Buttelstedt near Weimar, studied under Bach from 1726 - 1735. In 1737 he was organist at Zwickau, in 1744 at Zeitz, in 1756 Court organist at Altenburg, where he died at the beginning of January 1780. He was a celebrated organ - player in his day, und must have developed an exceptional pedal technique, as may be judged from the great number of pedal solos in his organ works. The relationship between Bach's organ compositions and those of Krebs in unmistakable. Though Krebs never attained the greatness of his master, his fresh, carefree joy in playing is still his own, and sometimes even suggestests the coming classicism. Lista utworów: |
