Leo Janáček (1854 - 1928) to kompozytor czeski, animator kultury oraz kolekcjoner ludowych melodii słowiańskich. For a lonf time of his life, Leo Janáček (1854 - 1928) was rather little known as a composer outside Brno, the town of his activity. Due to his great interest in the Slav culture and his devoted passion for it, he had rather gained a name for himself in collecting folksongs. As the leader of a choir and an organizer of the music life in Brno, he just as well spent his interests in encouraging this kind of folkarts.
