Welcome to Learn To Play Bass with Metallica: Volume 2. Metallica is the foremost authority in heavy metal. Their debut album, Kill 'Em All, set the standard for speed metal with its driving rhythms and articulate riffs. Each album after that raised the bar for the quality of what a heavy metal band could accomplish. The intent of this second volume of Learn to play Bass with Metallica is to provide the intermediate through advanced bassist with techniques to help with their own creative processes, using the music of Metallica as the source material. It is recommended that you as an aspiring bassist try to hook up with other players and form bands, as this is crucial in putting these concepts into the contexts in which they can be fully realized. It is also important that you not only listen to the examples on the enclosed CD, but also the actual recorded songs as played by the band.
