O Stravinskim i Etiudach Pittoresques mówi się, że są to: człowiek i jego sztuka. 20 Etudes Pittoresques were the last pieces written by Soulima Stravinsky before his death in November of 1994. These "Etudes" reflect a cameo - like purity and clarity of style serving as a microcosm and distillation of his subtle humor, fastidious craft, and exquistie taste. The composer's first published work - the imposing Piano Sonata in Bb - represents an aesthetic of rhythmic, tonal and contrapuntal complexity, diametrically opposite from these piece. Intermezza op. 4 Roberta Schumanna (1810 - 1856) - niemieckiego kompozytora i pianisty okresu romantyzmu. Podstawą działalności kompozytorskiej Schumanna od początku był fortepian - aż do opusu dwudziestego trzeciego pisał on wyłącznie utwory na ten instrument. Intermezza Schumanna zawierają już elementy nowatorskiej wówczas techniki pianistycznej. The Deutsche Staatsbibliothek Berlin owns the complete autograph of the work in the youthful writing of Schumann, reflecting the endeavour for clarity and beauty. The alternation of the originally intended dedication to Clara Wieck, at that time still in her childhood, reveals that the work had been born in the turbulent process of development oh Schumann's youthful artistic personality, in a feeling of creative happiness and the the same time in the torments of the self-imposed constraint of self-discipline.The calligraphic tittle and tempo marks are conscicuous.
