Druga część szkoły gry na fortepianie autorstwa Roberta Pace stworzona jest z myślą o pianistach średniozaawansowanych. Autor kontynuuje tu zagadnienia z zakresu teorii muzyki dotyczące m. in. transpozycji, wartości rytmicznych, triady harmonicznej, i innych. Autor kładzie nacisk przede wszystkim na samodzielne komponowanie muzyki i zachęca ku temu poprzez przykłady tematów muzycznych i możliwość dokomponowania własnych fragmentów utworów według wskazówek. Całość w angielskiej wersji językowej.

Creative Music II provides the necessary materials for the continued development of good music reading skills and the expansion of creative activities. Each pair of facing pages (pp. 2-3, 4-5, 6-7 etc.) contains examples which are conceptually the same, yet slightly altered from those in Music for Piano II so that students continually experience an "indirect transfer" of previous learning.
All even numbered pages (left hand side of the book) contain related reading examples arranged in a cumulative sequence to enable students to deal effectively with progressively more complex music. This reading material provides a balance of keys, meters and compositional styles and should be practiced a few minutes each day. Students should transpose as indicate and some may want to include additional keys if time permits. Also, after two or three days, students can practice their "creative reading" by changing a few notes here and there. But they should always plan ahead and decide on what is to be done. Or students may add upper or lower neighbors, or even change melodic direction by inversion, sequences, etc. Again, students should "think it out" before playing, and keep their eyes on the music as they make their changes. Don't let students look at the keyboard when using notation. Rather, help them develop a sense of "feel" as to where their hands are or where they need to move.
