Niniejsza publikacja jest pierwszą częścią cyklu utworów wielkich mistrzów na organy. Utwory mogą być także wykonywane na fortepianie lub klawesynie. Znajdziesz tu dzieła takich kompozytorów, jak m. in.: Antonio de Cabecon (1510 - 1566), Adam Steigleder (zm. 1633), Florentio Maschera, Jan Pieters Sweenlinck (1562 - 1621), Girolamo Frescobaldi (1583 - 1644), Samuel Scheidt (1587 - 1654), Johann Kaspar Kerll (1627 - 1693), Johann Pachelbel (1653 - 1706) i innych. It is hoped that this collection will serve as a guide to the many forms of secular organ music. It offers a wealth of hitherto unfamiliar material for all keyboard instruments. For, even though they are intended for the special sonorities of the old regal and positive organ, these works from the 16th to 18th centuries need not be so limited. The old methods of performance allow greater latitude; as long as the pedal is not mandatory, all keyboard instruments are equally acceptable.
