David Amram (ur. 1930) to amerykański kompozytor, pisarz, multiinstrumentalista i dyrygent. Jest on uznanym autorem muzyki filmowej i teatralnej. Utwór "The Trail of Beauty" Amrama to kompozycja na mezzosopran, obój i orkiestrę. Skomponowana została do poezji, modlitw oraz przemówień rdzennych Amerykanów. Kompozytor wykorzystał w niej liczne melodie etniczne. Niniejsze wydanie zawiera opracowanie "The Trail of Beauty" na mezzosopran, obój i fortepian (wyciąg fortepianowy partii orkiestry). Czas trwania utworu: ok. 25'. David Amram - "In the mystery of the spirit world of native American people, there is the same quality of timelessness that is in the spirit of all true music. Marcel Tabuteau gave all musicians who knew him na higher sense of what music was about. This will always be, through the recordings of his playing, and the part of him that lives and is passed down through his students. His tradition cannot be described. It has to be felt in the way he felt about music. Like most people in the United States he was from another continent and settled here. the oldest and first Americans have a tradition in their making of music that best expresses the feeling all of us in music have when we honor musican". I - Allegro (zakończone kadencją), cz. II - Andante, cz. III - Rondo allegro. As in generally known, Haydn's authorship of this concerto for oboe cannot actualy be verified. Is it mainly on account of the concinnity displayed in the second movement that the question arises at all of attributing the work to Haydn, especially in the absence of any reference to another composer to whom it might possibly be ascribed. Even then, it can only have been one of Haydn's early woks as may be concluded from certain shortcomings that occur here to there. On examining the two scores preserved in manuscript from in the libraries of Dresden and Vienna, one encounters numerous cases of tonal and harmonic maladroitness, tatuphony in the oboe part, and dragging passages in the tutti section.
