This valuable resource by Tim Lautzenheiser and Brad White contains 32 letters focusing on music advocacy, the importance of the arts in our schools, and the benefits of music study in the development of the child as well as letters specific to choral music. "Pasja według św. Mateusza" jest jedną z dwóch pasji Bacha, które zachowały się w całości. Powstała ona w późnym okresie jego twórczości, gdy kompozytor był kantorem w kościele św. Tomasza w Lipsku. Pierwsze wykonanie "Pasji według św. Mateusza" miało miejsce w Wielki Piątek 15 kwietnia 1729 roku. Ten monumentalny, złożony z 24 scen, utwór stawia współczesnych dyrygentów oraz instrumentalistów wobec wielu różnorodnych problemów wykonawczych. Publikacja "Johann Sebastian Bach, St. Matthew Passion, Introduction and Instructions for Study" Helmutha Rilinga jest skierowana szczególnie do dyrygentów.
