This arrangements in this book are intended to give additional, recreational work to those in the early stages of studying the guitar. Only easy keys are used, there are few accidentals, the rhythms are simple, and the left hand does not move away from the nut position: the harmonic language is traditional and such chords as are used are easy to play - they will be familiar to anyone who has worked through the customary, elementary pieces by Carcassi, Aguado and the like. For the most part, the music is in only two parts - the melody and a supproting bass.

"Seasons" for guitar, written for Michael Lorimer and commissioned by the Michigan Council for the Arts, is a pastoral piece, one of a long tradition of "Seasonal" works. It stars and ands, however, with winter, which is somewhat unusual, and the seasonalbreaks in the movements are not determined by the solstices - more by the moments one feels sure things are changing, have changed, and will change again. Here in Michigan, spring and summer flow together more than they do further East; late summer is almost another season from early summer; falls are hearty but crepuscular; winters are long.

Hommaeg a Aleksander Tansman powstał w 2006 roku i została dedykowany polskiej gitarzystce - Annie Pietrzak. Jest to jeden z pierwszych utworów Marka Pasiecznego, w którym nie pojawiają się, wszechobecne dotychczas w jego twórczości, inspiracje jazzem i muzyką filmową. Tytuł kompozycji zdradza nowe fascynacje kompozytora - tym razem jest to muzyka polska i spuścizna jednego z najsłynniejszych kompozytorów polskich XX wieku - Aleksandra Tansmana. Mimo, że w utworze odnaleźć można echa stylu twórcy Cavatiny oraz liczne nawiązania do polskiej muzyki ludowej (stylizacje polskich tańców ludowych w drugiej i trzeciej części suity, a także wykorzystanie motywów tradycyjnej piosenki "Cichy zapada zmrok" w części czwartej), to motywy te wykorzystane zostały z charakterystycznym dla Pasiecznego polotem i swobodą wnosząc nową jakość do współczesnego repertuaru gitarowego. Jak w każdym swoim utworze kompozytor - gitarzysta w pełni wykorzystał możliwości techniczne oraz walory harmoniczne i kolorystyczne instrumentu. Hommaeg a Aleksander Tansman jest utworem o średnim stopniu trudności.
