Nat "King" Cole, właściwie Nathaniel Adams Coles (17 marca 1919 - 15 lutego 1965) - amerykański muzyk jazzowy i piosenkarz. Urodził się w Montgomery (Alabama, USA) najprawdopodobniej 17 marca 1919, aczkolwiek jako data jego urodzin podawany jest też rok 1915 lub 1917. Zmarł 15 lutego 1965 w Santa Monica (Kalifornia). Ten amerykański czarnoskóry muzyk jazzowy, obdarzony ciepłym głosem o pięknej barwie i głębi, rozpoczął karierę jako pianista, później jednak wsławił się balladami. Dzieciństwo i młodość spędził w Chicago. W 1937 roku zaczął występować w klubach jazzowych w Los_Angeles. W 1939 roku założył Trio King Cole (wraz z Oscarem Moorem i Wesleyem Princem). Z czasem jego związki z jazzem uległy rozluźnieniu, a on przeszedł do historii przede wszystkim jako wokalista śpiewający muzykę "łatwą i przyjemną".

All six pieces of the Autumin Multiplay collection can by performed in all possible instrumental permutations (1-6 performers). It is recommended that the performers maintain a continuity of narriation while controlling the time intervals between particular miniatures as well between particular events. Instrumental parts overlap asynchronously, depending on the choise of the performrs, the lenght of the breaks and the tempo. The performers begin to play independently from one another wherver they wish. The interpretation of one performer may influence the interpretation of another. Such musical communication could result in, for example: dialoguing, complementing, continuing, contrast, or unity. Each performer should choose his own order in which to play the miniatures withoult prior consultation with others. By naturally responding to given musical situations, their mutual musicmaking on the stage should bring forth accidental, always new results. When performed as a chamber music version, it is desirable-given the proper acoustic conditions- for some performers to be spatially located away from the stage.
Duration: minimum 10 minutes. Contents: 6 pages.
