Gabriel Fauré (1845 - 1924) to organista i kompozytor francuski, uczeń m .in. Kamila Saint-Saënsa. Razem z Cezarem Franckiem reprezentuje on narodową muzykę francuską. W publikacji zamieszczono tekst piosenki w języku toskańskim i angielskim. Apres un reve enjoys such fame as a cello piece that many still remain unaware that it is a transcription of a song. Composed in 1877, when Fauré was in his early thirties, the song was one of a pair loosely based on traditional Tuscan verses. Fauré's singer friend Romain Bussine adapted the Tuscan into French for the Sérénade toscane, in the case of Apres un reve his adaptation is so free - as can be see below - that it really amounts to a new poem. The two songs were published with both French and Tuscan texts. Lista utworów: |
