Zbiór suit w łatwym opracowaniu na altówkę z fortepianem. Anna Magdalena Jana Sebastiana Bacha oraz Haydn Suite są opracowane na dwie altówki w duecie bez fortepianu. Opracowania są dość proste z myslą o początkujacych muzykach. W ogólnym obrazie zapisu graficznego wszystkich opracowań głównie występują wartości ćwierćnutowe i ósemkowe, rytmy są proste, kompozycje dość krótkie.

To students and teachers of the viola, it been apparent that there is a need for a collection of pieces geared to the requirements of the beginning player. Most available pieces for such players are either too difficult technically or too superficial musically. In this collection, therefore, I have sought to put the player who is still limited to the first position, into direct contact with music a wide range of content and styles, going from the treasures of our national folk songs and household melodies to the great classic tradition, to a nineteenth century master like Tchaikowsky, up tp s contemporary composition written especially for this class performer.

"Kol Nidrei" to utwór najbardziej lubiany i znany spośród twórczości Maxa Brucha (1838 - 1920) - niemieckiego kompozytora, pedagoga i dyrygenta. Utwór został skomponowany na klarnet i fortepian w oparciu o hebrajską melodię śpiewaną w dzień pokutny. Max Bruch przybył do Anglii w 1880 roku do Liverpoolu i w tym samym roku skomponował niniejszy utwór dla żydowskiej społeczności. Pierwsze wykonanie odbyło się w Leipzig w październiku w 1881 roku. "Kol Nidrei" składa się z dwóch części: I - Adagio ma non troppo; II - Un poco piu animato. W obecnym wydaniu zawarto opracowanie kompozycji na altówkę i fortepian.

Kol Nidrei is one of the best loved and most frequently performed of Bruch's work. It is based on an ancient Hebrew melody which is sung on the eve of the Day of Atonement.
Max Bruch came to England in 1880 and Koi Nidrei was written in Liverpool in the same year, shortly after his appontment as conductor of the Liverpool Philharmonic Society. It was written for the Liverpool Jewish Community and received its first performance in Leipzig in October 1881.
This work, although in one continuous movement, is divided into two main sections. The first part is concerned with the announcement of the Jewish theme, the soloist here taking the role of Cantor, followed by free variation upon it.
The second part of the work provides a contrast. The tempo is increased and the minor key gives way to the major. This second section is perhaps more in keeping with Buch's own romantic style.
