Lester Trimble (1923 - 1986) to amerykański współczesny kompozytor i krytyk muzyczny. Jest autorem m. in. muzyki orkiestrowej, kameralnej i jednej opery. Kompozycja "Duo" Trimble'a na altówkę i fortepian posiada dwie części: cz. I - "Prelude" w tempie Adagio, cz. II - Allegro. W partii altówki kompozytor wykorzystał różne sposoby gry (m. in. dwu, trój i czterodźwięki, tryle, tremolo, czy szybkie staccato). Lester Trimble has been named composer-in-residence with the New York Philharmonic for the 1967-68 season. A grant by the Rockefeller Foundation to the New York Philharmonic-similar to ones it has given to other orchestras - has made possible this year assignment. As the New York Philharmonic's second composer-in-residence, Mr. Trimble will have the opportunity to observe the factors which go into the making of an orchestral performance and to gain first-hand knowledge of the orchestra from an instrumental, technical standpoint. Mr. Timble was born in Wisconsin on August 29, 1923. He studied composition at the Carnagie Institute of Technology under the Russian composer Nikolai Lopatnikoff. Lista utworów: |

"Kol Nidrei" to utwór najbardziej lubiany i znany spośród twórczości Maxa Brucha (1838 - 1920) - niemieckiego kompozytora, pedagoga i dyrygenta. Kol Nidrei is one of the best loved and most frequently performed of Bruch's work. It is based on an ancient Hebrew melody which is sung on the eve of the Day of Atonement. Lista utworów: |
